Papercut design Black Shuck bookplates

£6.50

These printed Black Shuck bookplates are the perfect way to keep track of your books and are based on a papercut design which is popular here in East Anglia.

Here the legendary Black Shuck is a spirit said to protect - or terrify - travellers using our winding country roads.

This Black Shuck was designed for the Moth shop in Bungay (Suffolk) where a terrifying black dog was said to have run riot in St Mary's Church in 1577.

My dog's a bit friendlier than that legendary hell hound who left his claw marks in the church door after his chaotic visit was over - you can still see them there today!

They come as a pack of 10 with an adhesive back. Just peel off and you're ready to stick into the frontispiece - just add your name!

Dimensions: bookplates approx 10cm x 7cm; when packed approx 8.5cms x 11cms.
