Vintage Edwardian lemonade bottle Hare & Moon Maidstone

£36.00

This sweet little bottle has a simple hare, leaf and moon design which really sets off its nice flat front. I’ve added an old cork but you could easily remove this and use it to display flowers or hold brushes etc. The gold foil catches the light rather well and it looks good on a dark shelf where it can sparkle, or in solhouette against a lighter background.

Like all my glass bottles it is one of a kind, making it a really unique gift.

Made around 1910 these stocky glass bottles were made by Foster Clark Ltd and in this case contained lemonade powder that you added to water to make Eiffel Tower Lemonade.

Another treasure unearthed from an old Suffolk rubbish heap, with the company name, the place of manufacture - Maidstone - and the words Eiffel Tower Lemonade moulded into the glass on either side.

All my bottles are decorated with handcut designs, cut using a tiny scalpel blade.

Dimensions: 10cms tall, base is 3.5cms.

Like all my foiled bottles this one cannot be wshed, just blow off any dust or wipe carefully with a dampened cloth.
