Vintage four sided silver foiled Running Hare bottle
Fine leafy trees and a light footed hare, springing out from among the foilage, cover the faces of this Edwardian bottle which probably originally contained fruit juice powders or medicinal salts. Another foraged treasure dug up in the garden, this one is in excellent condition with nice clear glass and no nicks, bumps or scratches to spoil its surfaces.
The lovely shape of this sturdy old bottle made covering it along all four sides irresistible, something that doesn’t usually work as it can be too overwhelming. Each side features a different design, meaning you can display it however you want and ring the changes by rotating it. Great for using as a small flower vase or for storing things like pens or brushes on a display shelf or desk.
All my bottles are decorated with handcut designs, cut using a tiny scalpel blade.
Dimensions: 10cms tall, base width 3.5 cms.
